Dovestar looked out happily onto the Clan she knew was her own. She was so happy to be sitting in her roomy den, with all things silent except for the hushing breeze that ruffled her fur. The sun was not shining, but the nearly full moon looked like a huge diamond on a cloth of black velvet. The moon seemed so close, yet it was further away than any cat could say. Dovestar got up, weary even for her young age, and walked out on the cold, wet stone. It felt somehow reassuring underneath her velvety pads, and as she leapt from roch to rock she began to regain strength. As the first few raindrops of the night fell down like tears from the heavens, Dovestar felt their watery presence on her long fur. As the rain soon became a storm, Dovestar's coat was soaked through and through, so she let out a yowl of anger and rushed back to her den. Somehow, she felt she couldn't sleep, however hard she tried. She curled up with her bushy tail on her flay muzzle, and finnally drifted off into a long releaxing sleep.
